Chenille
Chenille is a finish that includes a 3rd strand of fiber bundles that stand up right from the substrate of the fabric creating a soft fuzzy feel. This finish can be found in large or small rows similar to a corduroy or even in woven patterns.

It is a finish that is has a very luxurious hand that can be well maintained. The Chenille finished fabrics may be comprised of any of many fiber contents or a combination blend of any 2 or more fibers.

You may find it to be reasonably durable finish when specified in the appropriate applications. However, it does not lend itself particularly well to spot cleaning. The reason being that when moisture is or abrasive (rubbing, scrubbing) action is applied you may change the nap or pile lay of the 3rd strand fibers.
