Foam Cleaning
A detergent solution is dispensed as foam and worked into the carpet pile or fabric with a cylindrical power brush. Foam and suspended soil are removed by vacuuming. In hand applications, sponges are used to apply and remove the foam, along with the loosened soil. Equipment High sudsing and
foam cleaning detergent Method Whip solution into dense sudsy foam. Dip mit or bonnet into foam only. Run mit over fabric or affected area in the direction of the nap lay or the direction of the warp yarns. Extract with wet-dry vacuum or absorbent toweling. Advantages May minimize yellowing and will not overwet the fabric or textile. Primarily used in maintenance type cleaning. Disadvantages Not designed for restoration type cleaning and therefore may not be very effective on very soiled or abraded fabrics and textiles. Could possibly yield a less than completely desirable quality and result. |
